The Ascend OC Chapter launched with a successful Inaugural Celebration themed “The Dynamics of Transformational Leadership,” hosted at PIMCO Newport Beach on March 19th, 2019 with over 250 attendees. The featured keynote speakers were Katherine Le, CEO of Mortgage Service Providers and former President of Stearns Lending and Sung-Hee Suh, the Global Chief Regulatory Risk and Compliance Officer of PIMCO and the Managing Director of the Newport Beach office.
The Orange County Chapter Board of Directors and Founding Sponsors include senior executives from Aviation Capital Group, Boeing, Capital Group, Deloitte, KPMG, PIMCO, and PwC.
“Our Chapters are the lifeblood of Ascend. There continues to be such an exciting opportunity and a lot of white space that Ascend is addressing through the expansion of our chapter base. Our chapters provide local programs such as professional development workshops, regional conferences and mentoring programs, while also encouraging and promoting civic engagement through community service. Ascend is thrilled to welcome the OC Chapter into the Ascend family,” said Sandeep Gupta, Vice President of Chapter Affairs, Ascend and Partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP.
“It was eye-opening to me when I attended an Ascend Pinnacle gathering and learned about what the Ascend could do to help prepare and propel professionals to their peak potential. Pan-Asians generally are well-educated and have solid work experience, but often lack the exposure to leadership that can come with an organization like Ascend,” says Khanh Tran, Co-President/Chairman of Ascend OC Chapter and President and Chief Executive Officer, Aviation Capital Group.
